Welcome to Nativity Catholic School!
It is my joy and privilege to welcome you to our Bruin community. My name is Jennifer Peairs, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Nativity Catholic School here in Torrance, California. With over 20 years in education and a deep love for Catholic teaching, I am committed to ensuring that every child who walks through our doors is known, loved, and supported.
Nativity holds a very special place in my heart—not only as an educator, but first as a parent. My eldest son was a member of the graduating Class of 2023, and my youngest son is currently a student here. When my husband and I chose Nativity for our sons, we were looking for a school rooted in strong Catholic values. We found exactly that in a dedicated faculty who not only taught the faith but modeled it daily. Their example, compassion, and commitment to academic excellence confirmed that we were right where we belonged.
For more than 75 years, Nativity Catholic School has been committed to educating children in the South Bay—providing a strong academic foundation rooted in Gospel values. We are proud of our legacy, and even more excited about where we are going. Our mission remains the same: to nurture the whole child—spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially.
Every day, our students are invited to grow in their relationship with Jesus through prayer, participation in the Sacraments, and acts of service. We believe faith should be lived, not just learned. That spirit is carried into our classrooms, where our dedicated teachers challenge and support students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade with a rigorous and engaging curriculum. Students also benefit from enriching opportunities in STEM, robotics, the arts, athletics, and leadership. This year, we are excited to continue strengthening our academic programs, expanding opportunities in STEM and the arts, and deepening our faith formation experiences for all grade levels.
