kindergarten (TK)
TK is a program designed to meet the needs of students who are turning four (4) years old after the September 1st deadline for Kindergarten. It serves as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten for children with fall/late summer birthdays.​​

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO...

Hold a pencil, marker or crayon
-
Listen to and follow 1 to 2 step instructions
-
Dress themselves
-
Use the bathroom by themselves

Feed themselves
Kindergarten
​Kindergarten applicants must be five (5) years of age before September 1st of the academic year for which they are applying.
​
KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS MUST BE ABLE TO...

Use a pencil with a fair amount of accuracy for printing and drawing
-
Write name legibly
-
Recognize printed letters of the alphabet, both upper and lower case
-
Produce the sounds of the letters of the alphabet
-
Recognize numbers from 1 to 10 in print
-
Count to ten
-
Listen to and follow 2 to 3 step instructions
-
Has accomplished all of the requirements for TK students as listed above
